Who are we?

Hi, my name is Andrew, and I am the editor and content creator here at SolarKitReview.com. My wife and I started building this webpage because we are passionate about solar energy and harnessing the sun’s power to help the planet, get people outdoors, and hopefully help you save a few bucks. 

The purpose of this website is to help creative DIYers interested in installing their own solar kits shorten their search for the kit that is right for them. My wife and I are infamous DIYers, so we know the research that goes into a project and product before pulling the trigger on a purchase. This webpage can take care of that part. We scour the internet for the best kits to help you make the right decision. We know installing solar panels is no small investment, so we want to ensure you have all the information and don’t have to spend all your time looking for the best kits; you can spend that time outside doing the fun part.

Some more about me: I have a bachelor’s degree in sustainable development from Columbia University and have worked for the past few years at a solar company that helps put solar on affordable housing. I am NABCEP PV Associate Certified and closely follow the solar industry through my development work and by attending solar trade fairs. 

This project has been the perfect marriage of my passion for renewable energy and my DIY spirit. If you have any questions or want to know more about the products on this site or anything else solar, feel free to contact me, and I’ll do my best to answer them!
