Key Product Features
- 20 T1 PVs (Utility Grade Solar Panels)
- Fierce market competition between PV module manufacturers has produced a tier system of quality standardization. Tier 1 (T1) panels are the highest grade panels available, which utility-scale developers also utilize. All panels in this kit will include cut sheets (the panel’s performance specifications), showing gradual curves of degredation and average production losses of approx .08% per year.
- 20 Enphase Microinverters
- Microinverters are a game changer for increasing efficiency. They regulate output on a “micro” level by regulating individual panels as different shades move across a complete array. Emphase is one of the top 5 manufacturers of commercial-grade domestic US inverters.
- Iron Ridge Racking Materials
- Iron ridge is an industry standard for residential and commercial flush mount applications. The included blue chip domestically manufactured aluminum rails, brackets, and roof mounting attachments can hold your modules firmly in place against severe snow loads or hurricane strength wind uplift.
- Enphase Monitoring Platform
- Inverters will be configured with your Wifi for real time production monitoring on a panel to panel level. Off grid locations without Internet connection can also routinely log in and upload production data.
- GoGreenSolar Energy/Design Analysis
- Soft costs (design, energy analysis, permitting, engineering, interconnection, etc.) are some of the highest costs in solar development. This kit includes more than just materials. GoGreenSolar includes a basic usage analysis so that your kit is sized appropriately for free.
- Clear Instructions
- If you’re like me, youtube will be your main source for learning how to install or fix something. But with many solar racking types which provide training for professional installers, you may not find exact technical videos for all the parts included. This kit includes clear instructions, helping you understand how to work with exactly what you have.
Pros
- Significant cost savings of $10,000-15,000 compared to professional installation
- All-in-one solar kit
- High-grade panels and high efficiency microinverters for optimal performance
- Easy to install with comprehensive instructions
- Scalable design for future expansion
- Included power calculation for your system size
Cons
- Requires some basic DIY skills and tools
- Kit includes only solar specific equipment. Wire, conduit, fittings, breakers, AC/DC Disconnects (if required), junction boxes and a sub panel (if required) can be purchased at your local hardware store.
- Does not include Plan Sets or interconnection submission which is an additional (but reasonable) fee offered by GoGreenSolar.
Warranties
Panels are under warranty for 25 years and emphase inverters for 15 years. Panel issues are less common, however even high quality inverters do fail after approximentaly 15 years. Luckily the manufacturer provides product warranties on the two main components that slowly degrade over time. GoGreenSolar provides clear warranty information inside this kit, making sure you are covered if something goes wrong.
